Meet the organisers
The Limmud Oz Fest team is made up of a group of enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers who are working hard to bring you an incredible, unforgettable event. Our team includes:
Malki Rose - Chair and chief of 'making things happen'
Day job: Media presenter, writer and caterer
After attending Limmud-Oz Fest in NSW last year, Malki was determined to keep the momentum going and introduce a Victorian version in 2011. So she gathered the people, the resources, her wits and determination and got the ball rolling. Malki continues to be the driving force behind the Limmud Oz Fest team.
Alana Bruce - Head of Programming
Day job: Medical Student (very soon-to-be doctor) and musician
Alana's history with Limmud Oz began as a musical presenter and performer. Last year she attended Limmud Conference in the UK and was inspired to build on the existing Limmud Oz experience.
Cygal Pellach - Marketing
Day job: Urban planner
Cygal has attended every Limmud Oz event in both Sydney and Melbourne since the first one back in 1999 and has volunteered for many of these. Unfortunately, she will not make it to Limmud Oz Fest 2011 as she is moving to Israel in September. Still, she has enjoyed contributing to this exciting event.
Other team members:
- Keren Tuch (Participant Care)
- Deb Neumann (Participant Care)
- Alex Kats (Programming Coordinator)
- Nikki Peipert (Volunteer Coordinator)
- Elizabeth Paratz (Programming)
- Bracha Rafael (Children's program)
- Seraphya Berrin (Religious Coordinator)
